My 2022 Samhain tarot reading

Last year, I posted my 2021 Samhain tarot reading on November 16th, and here I am sharing the 2022 Samhain tarot reading again in the month of November. I originally had planned to share the 2022 reading on the same date. But life had other plans.

In the meantime, I want to say that I had a lovely Samhain/Allhallowtide celebration this year. I didn't share what my plans were like in previous years, but I did make plans. And for the most part, I followed them. Or at least the parts that meant the most to me, it seems.

Anyway, continuing on in this new tradition of doing a Wheel of the Year tarot reading for the 4th Samhain in a row, here is how it went...

But first, a quick note --

For Samhain 2019-2020, my Theme of the Year card was a Knight of Wands.

For Samhain 2020-2021, the Theme of the Year card was a Queen of Wands.

For 2021-2022, the Theme of the Year was represented by the King of Cups.

And now, for 2022-2023, the Theme of the Year is ... The World.

Let's dive in:

Of course, this is the layout before I flipped over each card. I just liked the way it looked, so I thought I'd snap a photo.

Here's how the spread looked once I turned every card over:

Theme of the Year

- The World

Interpretation: I will complete a major journey in my life. Success and abundance will be in good measure, and my inner spiritual landscape will shift as I move on to a new level of consciousness.

Fall 1

- 5 of Swords

Interpretation: I will need to pick my battles wisely in order to put my focus on what matters most -- build my skills and confidence.

Fall 2

- Justice

Interpretation: I will seek to balance my growth with both light and shadow work. I will also give myself space to be still, lazy and unproductive in an effort to make up for spending the first 8 months of the year working my butt off.

Hopes

- Queen of Cups

Interpretation: I will lead with my heart, and continue to trust my intuition when feeling insecure, afraid or unheard.

Dreams

- Hanged Man

Interpretation: I will pause to take stock of my situation when everything seems to be moving too fast. I will lean in, let go and align with the divine will of the cosmos.

Winter 1

- Knight of Wands

Interpretation: I will take inspired action to pursue my dreams with enthusiasm and courage. Leaving some energy for the long haul, I will make my passion work for me.

Winter 2

- The Empress

Interpretation: Prolific creativity will abound as I work to align my mind, body and spirit with the beauty that feeds my soul.

Creativity

- Page of Wands

Interpretation: A creative beginning to a new path that inspires my imagination will ignite.

Career

- The Devil

Interpretation: Delving into shadow work will liberate me from those chains that leave me feeling stuck and unfulfilled. Embrace the darkness so you can heal and reclaim your power.

Money

- The Chariot

Interpretation: I will harness and unite opposing energies to help me find the confidence and determination I need to succeed. With consistency and conviction, I move forward.

Business

- Death/Rebirth

Interpretation: I will let go of what no longer works for me so that I may begin down a new path that will lead me to new adventures that exceed my wildest dreams. Transition and transformation lie ahead.

Spring 1

- The High Priestess

Interpretation: I will channel meditation, introspection and spiritual insight into the answers I seek.

Spring 2

- 7 of Pentacles

Interpretation: I will take the time to reflect on my journey as I wait until the seeds I've recently planted begin to bear fruit. I will practice patience and gratitude as I recognize anything worth pursuing takes time.

Relationships

- 8 of Pentacles

Interpretation: With the loving determination and energetic essence that I put into my work, I become the person I long to be. In short, it is the relationship I have with myself that should be my focus in the coming year.

Love

- 5 of Pentacles

Interpretation: I will change my view on what I think will make me feel safe and secure. Only when that happens will I experience the love I deserve, need and want.

Summer 1

- 7 of Swords

Interpretation: I will be more strategic and resourceful as I move quickly toward my goals. Taking only what I need, I will move past any sense of imposter syndrome while always being honest with myself.

Summer 2

- Ace of Swords

Interpretation: Heightened states of clarity and consciousness will help me move past feeling stuck and stalled. The right "aha" moment or stroke of genius will lead to expansion of my mind and my life.

Travel

- The Tower

Interpretation: Chaos and unexpected change will challenge your beliefs. This is a time to reevaluate, redirect, reestablish and realign.

Explorations

Interpretation: I will feel motivated by innovative ideas and dreams that spark my creativity and lead me to unforeseen, yet fortuitous adventures. I will play a little more and give myself permission to be silly every now and then.

Hearth

- Ace of Cups

Interpretation: I will continue to plant the seeds of love and hope, as I forgive myself for past mistakes and find the path to healing.

Home

- 8 of Swords

Interpretation: I will work my way through my emotional lethargy and let go of the old story that is keeping me from the enlightenment I seek. I will see that I have more options than I think.

My overall thoughts:

I don't know what to expect in the upcoming year, but for some reason, I am both excited and afraid. Perhaps because The World signifies an ending as well as something joyous, and that could represent a host of things.

It could also represent 2 different things (something distressing coming to an end + something beautiful and uplifting altogether) or the exact same/1 thing (that which comes to an end is the uplifting and beautiful thing.)

The uncertainty leaves me nervous and struggling to appreciate the silver lining. But I'm trying to remember that most of the cards for the year right on time or what feels right at the moment.

I hope that makes sense. ☺️

Either way, next year promises to be a doozy.

This week’s theme is tantalizing desire.

To stop admiring from afar and finally following the siren’s lullaby. After times of sadness, anxiety and regret, where rationality has reigned for more than it should, we find ourselves at a crossroads and with the need to make a choice. Should we stay where we are, even if it leaves us unsatisfied? Or should we go after our dreams and finally make them a reality?

This week we are being asked to be assertive and go after our desires. Creativity, beauty, and pleasure are present and welcoming us with open arms to heal the numbness we’ve been feeling lately. If in the past weeks we’ve denied ourselves of these energies, they are going to present themselves in very seductive and alluring ways, encouraging us to bite the juicy red apple that ignites our inner fires. However, we must consider two warnings before willfully drowning in the sea of desire:

A lot of options lie ahead of us, some are offering us the opportunity to plant the seeds to make our dreams a reality, others are just offering us a temporary gateway to pamper ourselves with pleasure, and some others are pure poison disguised as sweet candy. Choose wisely.

Like Cinderella, the opportunity we have here is temporary. It’s in our hands to take advantage of this energy to later create something that leaves lasting rewards later… so don’t hold on to things too tightly! If you do, you might poison the blessing, turning it into a curse.

Overall, this week is great to indulge in dreams and desires that genuinely make your soul shine brightly, and not to follow meaningless pleasures to scape reality. 

You must remember, if you don’t follow your heart’s calling and indulge in false illusions… you’ll be left unsatisfied, with a never-ending hunger for true pleasure.

The week starts with moon in Ashlesha. (Speaking of desire lol). The moon at the birth of Mercury makes today and the rest of the week especially good for going after our true desires, but with the enough discernment and skill that allows us to choose the right way to do it. Being the height of femininity, Ashlesha asks you to pursue only what truly makes you shine, otherwise you take the risk of being paralyzed by unfulfilled cravings.

☾ Blessings: Never-ending options and opportunities to make your dreams come true! If you choose wisely, you might set the foundations for those dreams to become a reality.

☾ Warnings: Beware of illusions! Follow your gut, if something seems too good to be true, it most likely is. Also, don’t overindulge in pleasure, for this card is one of the significators in tarot for addiction.

Going forward I most likely won't do another Talder Week with how low participation was for this Talder Week. I've also decided to do just a few exchanges next year. Not all of them. I'm thinking of just doing the Beltane and Yule exchanges and skipping Valentines Day, Summer Solstice, and Samhain.

Let me know if people would like me to continue those but since the participation count is dwindling, I think just doing Beltane and Yule is enough.

The interview in Dubai started on June 14, 2022, and went on for 12 days iirc, as going by the newspaper that Real Rashid brings in in the last episode.

As such, it is.... possible? I guess?

It depends on when exactly Armand turns Daniel, obviously. I for one would think there is more to that story, and more development though.

But, who knows, maybe Samhain 2023 or 2024 then^^.

Fases da lua (~parte 2)

Essa é a segunda parte do post sobre as fases da lua. No parte um, falei sobre o básico da fase da Lua Nova, crescente, cheia e minguante. Porém nas religiões pagãs/ bruxaria natural também se fala muito sobre "Lua negra", "lua azul" e "lua rosa" e eu irei explicar melhor sobre isso além de falar um pouco sobre os ecplises.

==Lua Negra==

A Lua Negra é a lua que aparece nas últimas três noites de lua minguante. Como dito anteriormente, a lua minguante é um divisor de águas, muitos não gostam dela por abalar as nossas estruturas e jogar fora tudo aquilo que não precisa, nossas sombras e "sujeiras" ficam mais evidentes e não dá pra fugir. E nessas três últimas noites, quando a lua está passando da minguante para a nova é quando ela esta mais escura no céu. Isso remete nossas sombras e é uma fase para olhar mais para dentro de si. Muitos bruxos adoram a lua negra por isso. É um momento de autoconhecimento meio difícil porquê temos que olhar pra aquilo que fizemos de errado ao invés de nos vitimizarmos e culpar o resto do mundo. É olhar nossos defeitos e partes ruins de nós que não aceitamos. Por isso ela é uma lua bem "durona", e é otima para meditação.

==Lua Azul==

A Lua Azul não é literalmente uma lua azul, é na verdade a segunda lua cheia em um mês e é extremamente poderosa. Porquê pense, se a lua cheia já é forte, imagine a segunda lua em um mês quando ela fica ainda mais cheia. Ela está transbordando poder. Ela não é comum mas também não é rara e é otima para rituais coletivos, tanto em rituais como em pedidos, por exemplo se você quiser pedir paz mundial, a cura de um parente ou fazer rituais com mais pessoas. Lembrando que não é muito recomendável fazer feitiços para outras pessoas por aí sem o consentimento dela, fica tudo a seu critério.

°○Lua Rosa○°

Existem definições diferentes para a data da lua rosa então vai depender da sua crença ou prática que você segue. A Lua Rosa também é conhecida como lua dos desejos, recebe o nome de rosa por ser a cor que associa-se com p ato de desejar. O nome é autoexplicativo e é um momento hábitos para fazer desejos. No neo paganismo existem várias delas, são as luas cheias mais próximas dos principais Sabbath, que são festivais celtas. Algumas pessoas seguem apenas os quatro principais mas aqui estão as datas dos festivais no hemisfério sul:

Os Eclipses são muito polêmicos, algumas pessoas dizem que não se deve fazer ritual algum nos ecplises já outros dizem que ele é amplificador. Muitas vertentes da astrologia acrediram que não se deve fazer nada no eclipse pois é um "black out" de energias ou seja um apagão, outros acreditam q podem fazer a vontade como vertentes da bruxaria natural, os eclipse são vistos como impossionadores de mudança e são para coisas que estão realmente travadas na sua vida, como um computador que está pifando e depois de você ter feito de tudo para tentar consertar, você desiste e decide desligar para ligar de novo e aí ele magicamente funciona. Esse seria o ecplise.

Hora do meu narcisismo e falar um pouco de mim. Particularmente, tive minha primeira experiência de contato maior com a lua em 2022, quando decidi seguir um calendário lunar depois de ler na internet para observar as fases da lua, achei interessante, na época estava mais interessada em astronomia (astronomia mesmo, não astrologia). Logo me apronfundei na simbologia da lua em regiões e religiões diferentes do mundo, e descobri sua importância no mundo da magia, fiquei muito interessada na lua cheia, afinal eu nasci à noite, bem nessa lua! aquilo foi um bálsamo para mim que estava enfrentando uma severa ansiedade e crise depressiva na época e quis anotar minhas experiências em cada lua e acabei percebendo um padrão: na lua cheia ao contrário de alegria eu sempre me sentia mais irritada e explosiva e parece que meus problemas aumentavam! Eu ficava muito mais emotiva e acabei descobrindo anos mais tarde que é bem normal sentir isso nessa fase. Talvez sua fase preferida da lua pode te trazer gatilhos, uma boa forma de se conectar com ela é fazer umas anotaçõeszinhas de como você se sente em cada lua, parece bobo mas você vai notar uns padrões. Outra forma pra quem gosta de astrologia é entender melhor sua lua e onde está ela no seu mapa.
